GREG ABBOTT (MCJ-1984) joined the Minnesota School Boards Association as associate director of communications in 2002. He finished my master's degree in educational foundations and research at Mankato State University. Earlier he was news design director ot at the Mankato, Minn., Free Press. He won a Page One design award from the Minnesota Newspaper Association. Updated Janaury 2005

KEVIN SCHMIDT (MCPJ-1984) left the Winona Daily News as chief photographer to move his family nearer their roots in Iowa. At the Daily News, besides photography, he was in charge of the winonadailynews.com site. Earlier he was with Bowden Productions, Sioux Falls, S.D.; the Media Center at South Dakota State University; the Fairmont, Minn., Sentinel; and the Sidney, Mont., newspaper. Updated June 2002
