Sandra Bennett, who taught journalism, retired frim the English faculty in 2006.

Adolph Bremer, who taught journalism, died July 24, 1997, in a Winona retirement home.

Ray Brooks, who taught photography, retired in Winona.

Don Cramer, who taught graphics, retired in Winona.

Ron Elcombe, who teaches advertising, was named director of the university's Residential College.

Mike Cavanagh, joined the journalism faculty at State University of New York at Brockport.

Dom Caristi, who taught law, joined the faculty at Ball State University.

Ajit Daniel, who teaches broadcasting, was awarded a doctorate from Union Institute.

Tom Hirsh, who taught photography, retired and moved to La Crosse, Wis.

Drake Hokanson, who teaches journalism and photojournalism, wrote a 10th anniversary edition of his book, "Lincoln Highway: Main Street Across America" (University of Iowa Press).

Cindy Killion, who teaches photo, was awarded a doctorate by the University of Oregon.

John Kristoff, who taught advertising, left the UW-La Crosse faculty to give full attention to his agency.

Gary MacDonald, who taught photojournalism, joined the UW-La Crosse faculty in the art department.

Guy McCann, who taught advertising, left the Central Florida faculty for retirement. He teaches swimming at a YMCA.

Mike Martin, who taught broadcasting, was appointed KQAL chief engineer.

Dennis Pack, who taught broadcasting, enjoys postmark collecting and canoeing in retirement.

Steve Schild, former news lab supervisor, earned his doctorate from St. Thomas and serves on the facu;ty St. Mary's University.

Terry Schwarze, who teaches photo, retired after Fall 2006 classes.

Scott Shaw, former news lab supervisor, was named news chief at WIZM and five other La Crosse, Wis., radio stations.

Theresa Venette, who taught journalism from 1995 through 1997, created a Web site for needle-point people from her home in Fargo, N.D.

John Vivian, who teaches journalism, wrote the ninth edition of "The Media of Mass Communication" (Allyn & Bacon).

John Weis, who teaches public relations, created an online public relations survey course.

Bill Withers, who taught public relations, is masscom department chair at Wartburg College, defended his dissertation successfully at Drake University.

Brice Wilkinson, who taught masscom theory, retired in 1998.

Julie Zuehlke, who taught public relations, coordinated the university's summer College for Kids program.
